​Lifetime's new reality series "Supermarket Superstar" contestant Tony Angelotti's scones, Tony's Sconys, have already impressed culinary mavens Debbi Fields and Chef Michael Chiarello.  With flavors ranging from savory to sweet, the collection includes Cheddar~Bacon and Spinach~Feta~Sun-Dried Tomato to Walnut~Raisin, Cranberry~Coconut, Cherry~Almond and Red, White & Blue.

 

Raised by his grandmother, Angelotti learned his way around the kitchen at an early age and began experimenting with baking and Italian cooking as soon as he could reach the stove.  

 

After a childhood spent competing in gymnastics, Angelotti went on to compete nationally at The University of Michigan. He transformed his talent into a successful career as a stuntman, stunt coordinator and now a consultant for various studios, movie productions, television shows and live entertainment.

 

During Angelotti's long recovery from a tragic stunt accident doubling for Johnny Depp in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", he found comfort, inspiration and creativity in the kitchen. It became a new therapy for him. It was during this time he decided to create the "perfect scone" after eating so many disappointing ones in the past.  He also wanted to create a delicious AND healthy baked good filled with nutritious ingredients like oatmeal, flax, nuts and dried fruits that would one day be enjoyed across the globe.  Using family and friends as his test market, "Tony's Sconys" are now ready for the world to enjoy!
